FD20 Limited Service Controller

The FD20 Limited Service Controller can be used for motors 30HP or less, driving special fire service pumps where acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. They are available with across-the-line starting only, with starting inrush current approximately.

FD30 Across-the-Line

The FD30 controller operates Across-The-Line where full voltage is applied to the motor for starting by the use of a single motor contactor. Starting inrush current is approximately 600% of rated full load amperes. The FD30 can be programmed for either fully automatic or semiautomatic operation.

FD40 Part Winding

The FD40, type LMR Plus Controller is a full service, part winding reduced voltage controller. A part winding fire pump controller reduces the starting current by up to 40% while maintaining up to 50% motor starting torque. The FD40 is the most economical method of reduced voltage starting, how-ever, requires a special motor wound for part winding starting.

FD50 Primary Resistor

The FD50, type LMR Plus Controller is selected when it is necessary to meet limitations on inrush current. A resistor is inserted in the power supply to the motor for a smooth acceleration. The main contactor by-passes the resistor after a short acceleration time and applies full voltage to the motor terminals.

FD60 Autotransformer

The FD60, type LMR Plus Controller utilizes an auto-transformer that is inserted in the power supply to the motor to reduce the voltage at the motor terminals and to provide a smooth acceleration. The main contactor by-passes the autotransformer after a short acceleration.

FD70 Wye Delta (Star-Delta) Open

The FD70, type LMR Plus Controller uses a method of connecting the pump motor windings into wye configuration to start, then switching to a delta configuration to run. This reduces the starting current of the motor significantly.

FD80 Wye Delta (Star-Delta) Closed

The FD80, type LMR Plus Controller uses a method of connecting the pump motor windings into wye configuration to start, then switching to a delta configuration to run. This reduces the starting current of the motor significantly.

FD90 Soft Start

The FD90 LMR Plus Soft Start controller incorporates a solid-state starter which provides a step-less, smooth current ramp to the motor. This characteristic eliminates current surges and mechanical torque transients.A soft stop feature allows for smooth deceleration of the motor thus eliminating water hammer throughout the cycle.
