Description
The FT50 Transfer Switch Controller is selected when it is necessary to meet limitations on inrush current. A resistor is inserted in the power supply to the motor for a smooth acceleration. The main contactor by-passes the resistor after a short acceleration time and applies full voltage to the motor terminals. Starting line current is 65% of the across-the-line starting inrush. All Eaton FT Series controllers are supplied as Dual Utility controllers and meet FM 1321 / 1323 approvals.
